The forests in the Forest District Krzystkowice consist of two compact complexes divided by the river Bober. Swamps can be more frequently encountered than water reservoirs and the green roof is mainly made of pine. The average forest stand age is 54 years.

The forests are abundant with mushrooms which is definitely good news to mushroom pickers. On the other hand, the river Bober, famous for its winding and numerous meanders will satisfy the most dedicated kayakers and anglers. Apart from educational routes the area is also provided with 55 km long cycling routes, 6 walk trails and 4 horse tracks.
